Tamberlin Inquiry into Electricity Transactions
Back to NewsMick Veitch MLC, Shadow Minister for Regional and Rural Affairs, today supported calls for Barry O\'Farrell to rule out further electricity privatisation.
"Barry O\'Farrell promised before the election that under no circumstances would he privatise electricity" Said Mr Veitch.
"Country people need real leadership on this issue. Now is the time for the local member to clearly put on record their opposition to any further sale of electricity in NSW.
"They must now categorically rule out supporting the sale of electricity in NSW. They must show strength and leadership for their electorate."
Electricity prices increased more than 30% following privatisation in South Australia.
